Hand me down...

Hand me down your pains and woes;

Step out of your dusty shoes!

Forget the past and kick the jinx;

Cool your heels and feel the bliss!

Smell the coffee and avoid the debacle;

Cross the bridge and touch the pinnacle!

Take the back seat and prefer to hibernate;

Wait for a daybreak and let the life rejuvenate!

Far away where heat of sun seems insane;

Plant your dreams and wait for the rain!

Ride your bike but beware of thorns;

Travel far to set the milestones!

Scribble down your goals on a happy sheet;

And live the life because every day is a fete…!

Are you brave enough to be coward?

'Fortune favors the brave'- This is most commonly used proverb to encourage the people today but today's generation, the 3G people have misconceived this proverb. We are highly ambitious to grab the world in our fist and the quality needed for this is our ,can do attitude' - our bravery. But are we really brave or are we coward to express our bravery?
The answer to the former question can be affirmative but the latter definitely calls for a negative reply! This generation surely is 'gusty' , 'adventurous' and 'dynamic'. But the problem is that people use these qualities in wrong manner and many times for wrong purpose..! This Gen 'Y' is yet to learn the formula of applying their so called 'bravery'..

Lets go through these captions often highlighted in the newspaper:

'A 7th standard boy was caught with a bottle of whisky in the classroom.!'

'A collegian carried his father's gun just to demonstrate his daring..!'

'A nine years old goes on rampage, pouring paints on his classroom desks and walls just because his classmate called him 'baby' and he wanted to prove his guts..'

'A teenager lost his life while performing a bike stunt, for the mere reason of impressing the pedestrians on a crowded road..!'

These are the headlines that we were recently offered with our breakfast. But actually this reveals the teens' growing impatience of revealing their bravery and that too by doing all the restricted tasks. These are the reflections of their efforts to quench their unquenchable thirst of demonstrating their COWARD BRAVERY... This could be the shadow of the increasing leap by the devil of depression..!
Unfortunately, no one is able to digest the fact that bravery is not something that needs to be proved. We just need to execute it at right place and at appropriate time. Then why is there a wave of eagerness to express the guts?? Why such weird desires to catch everyone's attention? And most importantly...why to showcase our courage at the risk of our own life? God has gifted us this life because he knew that we deserve it. Then why not live it to the fullest..?
Teens often fail to overcome their overwhelming hopelessness and insane frustration and in many cases they react to this by committing SUICIDE..!!! But they tend to forget that, the REAL bravery lies in turning the failure into the first chapter of success. But the question arises here that is suicide a permanent solution to all our temporary problems???

Rather the tragedy of a young person dying because of frustration or hopelessness is devastating to their family, friends and community. It is a slap on the face of the society wherein he/she resides. It reflects the failure of the loved ones, who failed to express their love and trust towards that person. Parents, siblings, friends, coaches, teachers and neighbors might be left wondering if they could have done anything to prevent this mishap.

Friends fortune will surely favor you if you have courage in the real terms that is the courage to accept the reality of life. Every one has some sort of problem or issue. That doesn't mean the life has ended. Overcoming a problem makes one strong and smart you...So do not get afraid of the failure...Rather scare the failure.

The tide of aggression and depression is surely somewhere among all of us. But this could be controlled if bravery is dictated in a perfectly pitched tone and the proverb is reformed as - 'Bravery needs the favor of intelligence.'
Ultimately such mishaps can be avoided and the GenY could be saved from the above stated dilemma-tic question...
