People say that we learn as we grow up! But is it
really so???
Every parent wants their child to grow up into a ‘big man’. But that journey from ‘a child’
to ’ a big man’ is really adventurous... Call it ‘adolescent’ or’ young’ or ’teen’-
the words itself express the sensitivity.
Accurately defining them, it can be said that teen age
is the age when a person thinks he is mature enough to take his own decisions
but many times his deeds make him eat his words!!!
The latest incidents in our society perfectly justify
this thing. A new term that is coined or we can say the term we recently came
across – ‘JUVENILE CRIMINALS’, the teens committing heinous crime -this has
become a burning issue these days.
Not just an issue but it is a matter to seriously
cogitate… What’s exactly the reason that makes a teen commit such brutal crimes
& that too so ruthlessly...? Is it
the liberal environment that they are provided? Or is it the motivation they
get from the liberal laws? What exactly makes a young mind ruin someone's life?
Why their brains make them call 'brats'??? Is it really so that aggression
comes naturally with adolescence??
These questions might make you scratch your head!!!
But the most dilemmatic question is whether
to punish them just like the adult criminals? Well, if we consider the
seriousness of the crime they’re committing; then it’s really high time to wake
up! If they are capable of committing such barbaric crime, then they surely
deserve a stern punishment. Practically thinking, if a 17 year 364 days old person
commits a crime and is considered a juvenile; is it so that on the very next
day he would become matured? Can maturity be achieved over night?
The answer to this can never be assertive...
So, It’s high time to take these juveniles seriously. Candle-march or rallies
aren’t enough … ‘Charity begins at home.’ & so let us make up our own mind
to take the first step.. Let’s start taking
life seriously. Let’s understand that we
don’t have any right to play with other’s life... We shouldn’t lose our morals
& ethics to teach someone a lesson!
Whatever generation we belong to; if we feel we have guts to display our ‘so called aggression’; then the rule is
“AN EYE FOR
AN EYE &
A TOOTH FOR A
TOOTH !!!”
